All of our custom bits are made to order, one-at-a-time, using only the finest materials like sterling silver, sweet iron, and copper, just like the original designs they are based on. As each bit is built entirely by hand from start to finish; please allow 12-14 weeks for your bit to be completed. We take pride in our product and will not sacrifice quality or craftsmanship for the sake of time.

Abbie (A.B.) Hunt pattern Santa Barbara bit

This spectacular bit is a modern version of a Santa Barbara bit originally built by the California bit and spur maker Abbie Hunt (1876-1967). One of the most beautiful and traditional designs based on a very old AB Hunt Santa Barbara cheek bit with sterling silver teardrops radiating from a silver concho. We stayed true to the early California bits with lovely chased iron and single point engraving like the old ones. This bit features antiqued sterling silver to give it that traditional old California look.
