Fantastic and rare Indian treaty or percussion trade gun. Cut down for concealment and ease of handling, these are affectionately known as “Buffalo Runners” or “Blanket Guns”. This one exhibits numerous Native American traits that include a remove butt plate, single row of brass tacks on the bottom of stock, file work on the screws, small stud holes on reverse of lock plate, and all original period cut down work, wear and patina. Mechanically sound with original ramrod.
