Rare vintage California sterling silver concho bit. This gorgeous bit has 8 domed sterling silver conchos in graduating sizes down each cheek. It also includes the original curb strap with sterling overlay buckles. The slobber bar has full sterling silver overlay with domed sterling silver spots. The mouthpiece is a 5” wide frog/segundo mouthpiece. The detail on this bit is beautiful. It is in excellent unused condition despite being over 50 years old. This is a very usable and functional bit. It was made circa 1970s, putting its age around 50+ years old. This bit has been meticulously stored for the last 50 years and is from a 1970s archival collection of silver bridle bits from a California saddlery that closed 20 some years ago. Asking 550 obo.
