Exquisite EDUARDO GRIJALVA EG* loose cheek bit in a classic A.B. “Abbie” Hunt pattern with medium port and copper roller. A great example of one of Eduardo’s earlier bits. In exceptional condition for its age and extremely eye catching. The silver is gorgeous and has a delicate engraved pattern. Each cheek has 17 sterling silver teardrops surrounding large domed sterling silver conchos with the trademark Grijalva flower engraving. The slobber bar is inlaid with engraved sterling silver and three domed sterling silver buttons. Mouthpiece is approximately 5 1/4” wide. Bit is marked EG* with the date 7.10.86 inside the left cheek. The markings of EG* and MEXICO and MAGDALENA SON are engraved inside the right cheek. In fabulous working order. Asking 1500.
