Nevada-cheek bit by Garcia Saddlery of Salinas, California. A gorgeous vintage classic California bit from the saddlery of G.S. Garcia’s sons, Les and Henry. The Garcia brothers’ partnership lasted from 1935 until 1957 when Les moved to Reno, Nevada and started his own bit and spur business. This bit is the finest representation of usefulness and ingenuity of that time back when California was the pinnacle of cowboy culture. The bit has a ported mouthpiece measuring 5 1/8” wide with copper barrels on the bars. Built with a slight amount of looseness to the cheeks. Everything is in excellent shape.. There are two large 1 3/4” engraved conchos on 8” long shanks. . Asking $775 or best offer.
