A wonderful example of traditional California spade bits. This one is very old, dating to approximately 1880s when the great ranchos and haciendas of early California were in their prime. This antique California spade bit is in exceptional condition commensurate to its age and boasts beautiful silver inlay adorned with stamped geometric designs.
6” cheeks x 1.75” at the concho area x 4.5” wide mouthpiece. The bit includes the original old rein chains and a curb chain. Asking 695 obo.
