All of our custom bits are made to order, one-at-a-time, using only the finest materials like sterling silver, sweet iron, and copper, just like the original designs they are based on. As each bit is built entirely by hand from start to finish; please allow 12-14 weeks for your bit to be completed. We take pride in our product and will not sacrifice quality or craftsmanship for the sake of time.

Alonzo Dewing pattern bit

Custom bridle bit in a very old Alonzo Dewing (1855-1933) pattern. A.W. Dewing was a famed California bit maker known for his intricate patterns of silver inlaid in detailed patterns and shapes. My customer wanted a modern good using bit for her horse based on a Dewing bit she owned that had been in her family for many many years, seen in the second photo on the left. A very special bit indeed.
