All of our custom bits are made to order, one-at-a-time, using only the finest materials like sterling silver, sweet iron, and copper, just like the original designs they are based on. As each bit is built entirely by hand from start to finish; please allow 12-14 weeks for your bit to be completed. We take pride in our product and will not sacrifice quality or craftsmanship for the sake of time.

California Concho bit

Rare vintage pattern California bit is based on a Stan Ruano bit with low Poco spoon spade mouthpiece from my collection.  Stan Ruano was a noted Southern California bit maker and horse trainer. The bit is a Santa Susanna style so it will be a slower bit than a Santa Barbara bit. This California bit has 4 sterling scalloped conchos encircled by silver beading. Each cheek has 13 larger sterling spots in graduating sizes. The detail on this bit is beautiful and truly breathtaking.  This original pattern  was created circa 1970s.
