An exquisite set of antique Traditional California tapaderos from a classic Visalia style saddle made circa 1920s.. They are in very good condition commensurate with their age and ready to be put to work or displayed in your California vaquero collection. They are each approximately 12” wide by 24” high. The leather carving is hand done and exquisite and features a large bucking horse and rider on each panel. With a good cleaning and conditioning, these are showstoppers. Provenance: these tapaderos came from an original Spanish land grant rancho in Santa Barbara County, California.
