This is an awesome antique horsehair mecate, in very good condition, made circa 1930s. I purchased the rope from a local California pioneer family from a historic ranch. It measures approximately 22 feet long and has a diameter of 1/2”. It has a beautiful hitched horsehair mota or tassel, and leather poppers.
