This spectacular bit is a modern version of a Santa Barbara bit (3rd photo) originally built by the California bit and spur maker Abbie Hunt (1876-1967). One of the most beautiful and traditional designs based on a very old AB Hunt Santa Barbara cheek bit with sterling silver teardrops radiating from a silver concho. Mouthpiece is a 5 1/4” wide frog mouthpiece with a copper roller. We stayed true to the early California bits with lovely chased iron and single point engraving like the old ones. This bit features antiqued sterling silver to give it that traditional old California look. An absolutely stunning bit!!
