Fantastic vintage silver bit with Colt Single Action style cheeks by Frank Rocha. This bit is from a 1970s archival collection of silver bridle bits by Frank Rocha from a prominent Southern California saddlery that closed 20+ years ago. The bits were meticulously stored for over 50 years and have never been used. Grips are beautifully adorned with engraved silver overlay in relief with a beautiful floral pattern and horse head. This is the nicest vintage pistol bit I’ve ever seen. Mouthpiece is a 5 1/8” low port style with copper inlay on the rear of the cannon bar. In pristine perfect condition. Made circa 1970s.
