These beautiful spurs come with the original carved and buckstitched leather straps and large 1.75” scalloped sterling silver conchos. Heel bands are .75” wide, overall length of spurs is 6.5”, 2” long shanks, 3” wide heel openings, and 1.75” wide 14-point rowels.

Leslie “Les” Garcia (1901-1987) was the son of famed bit and spur maker G.S. Garcia of Elko, Nevada. In the 1920s, Les and his brother Walter took over the daily operations of the business. The sons kept their father’s business open until about 1938 in Elko, when they moved to the California central coast and opened up Garcia Saddlery of Salinas, California. The Salinas branch operated from the late 1930s until 1966.

Along the way, Les opened his own shop, Garcia Bit and Spur Manufacturing Company, which was in business from about 1957 until 1978 in Reno, Nevada His bits and spurs carried the mark GARCIA or LES GARCIA.
