A very nice representative pair of hand forged iron spurs that show characteristics of earlier Spanish influences and well as Alta California / Mexican craftsmanship. From an estate sale near Carpenteria, California, they have finally found their way to the collector market. Normally found in singles from this period, this matched set still retains the original rowels, jingle bobs, heel chains, and a beautiful set of very early floral carved leathers. Measurements: 7-1/4” total length, 3” heel openings, 2-1/2” drop shanks, with large and impressive 3” rowels.
